THE FIRST MEETING OF THE GREEN BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE AT THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY OF THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN

During the meeting, participants discussed several key topics, including:

 an overview of the National Strategy for Green Economy Development in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2023–2037;

 pathways for developing the green economy and its impact on the private sector;

 the role of business in promoting environmentally friendly technologies and sustainable production;

 environmental aspects and standards contributing to the competitiveness of Tajik enterprises in domestic and international markets.

Special attention was given to the institutional strengthening of the Committee and the identification of priority areas for its activities. Participants highlighted the importance of close cooperation among the business community, academia, and government agencies to promote green economy principles in Tajikistan. This includes organizing training workshops, developing proposals to encourage “green” investments, and supporting environmentally sustainable enterprises.
